END OF THE SUP SEASON 2024 AND TESTS OF STARBOARD TOURING BOARDS - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2024, PODLASKIE BUG RIVER GAP
This year, to conclude the SUP season, we invite you to the Podlasie Bug River Gorge near Drohiczyn on Sunday, September 22, 2024. We'll paddle through the Bug River Landscape Park from Niemirów to Drohiczyn, along a section of the river that has retained its natural, wild character.

We meet at 9:00 in Mielnik at the "Kajakarnia" camping site.

For those of you arriving on Saturday, camping is available. There are also many different accommodation options in the area.

We have prepared 3 Starboard Tourings for testing on the water:

Those interested are asked to reserve individual boards.
We plan to make transfers along the route so that anyone who wants can try out different boards.
The boards will be equipped with factory adjustable paddles (except 12'6x28 DSC).
Daily schedule:
9.00 am - gathering of participants and preparation of boards
9.30 transfer 10 km with inflated boards to Niemirów where we start the rafting (no further possible because it's Belarus)
10.00 we start the trip
The length of the route and the finishing point/points will be agreed with our guide.
Currently (September 16th evening), the water level on the river is still very low, and therefore the current is weak. In these conditions, the realistic route is about 30 km, or about 6 hours.
If the water level rises and the current speeds up by Sunday, we may be able to cover a longer section of the river.
There are numerous pick-up points along the route, and we have flexible arrangements with Kajaki Mielnik. These transfers are within a 30-minute drive.
Around 4 p.m. the planned end of the trip and return to Mielnik.
5:00 p.m. souvenir photo and return home
We invite adults to participate. We recommend at least average physical fitness, basic SUP paddling technique, and a good sense of humor.
Everyone takes part in the event at their own risk.
