PSW WINDSURFING INSTRUCTOR COURSE - PRASONISI 2026

Windsurfing camp with training for PSW windsurfing sports instructors.

During this trip you will not only gain the necessary knowledge to independently conduct individual and group classes at any level of advancement, but also you will improve your windsurfing skills.

The course will be led by Senior Instructor and Lecturer of the Polish Windsurfing Association, Jakub Stolarski. At the end of the course, you will earn the title of assistant or windsurfing instructor, Class III/II, depending on your results.

Requirements:

• 18 years old
• gliding swimming ability

Conditions for completing the course:

• participation and completion of the course
• passing the theoretical and practical exam
• participation in and completion of the Polish Instructors' Championships at the required level (within 2 years of completing the course)

Prasonisi is the most beautiful sandy beach on the island of Rhodes, famous for its ideal windsurfing conditions. It is located on the southern tip of the island, where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet.

This is one of the few places in the world with such excellent conditions for windsurfing. The equipment base is right by the water. The school also offers a rest area between lessons, showers, changing rooms, hammocks, and nearby restaurants and canteens with sea views.

The water surface is completely flat, which facilitates progression and makes it easier for beginners to get started. Advanced surfers can practice jumping and wave riding on the other side of the beach. Winds blow regularly at force 4-6 from June to the end of September.

In the program:

• lectures and classes on the water (teaching system, lesson plan, rigging, physics and weather, equipment repair, instructor's health and safety, children's training, competitions - rules - organization, history of windsurfing)

Prasonisi Club Hotel in Catavia

Katavia lies on the southern tip of the island of Rhodes. Below, 8km to the south, lies the stunning Prasonisi Beach.

Katavia is a charming, traditional village offering everything we don't usually find in large tourist destinations. The friendly local Greeks, delicious traditional food, and proximity to the windsurfing mecca of Prasonisi are undoubtedly its strengths and guarantee unforgettable moments.

Most of the tourists who live in Katavia are surfers who spend their days swimming. In the evenings, the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing.

It's worth noting that Katavia has a permanent population of 180, and the entire town is under strict protection by the Greek Conservator of Monuments. Furthermore, Katavia boasts two grocery stores known as supermarkets, an Orthodox church, four restaurants, a children's playground, and a school playground.

The hotel offers excellent conditions for a relaxing break from the wind and sand of Prasonisi. We offer rooms for 3-4 people. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a refrigerator. The spacious patio is the venue for our gatherings, evening activities, and morning meals. Our buffet breakfasts will satisfy every guest's hunger and appetite.

For dinner, we head to the famous Louis Tavern, located right next to the hotel. Every day, the kitchen prepares a special meal for us (including vegetarian options).

We sail in a bay on the leeward side of the beach, where we have a base with equipment and a motorboat belay. The water surface is flat, which facilitates progress and makes it easier for beginners to take their first steps.

The wind blows daily at force 4-6 from June to the end of September. The water temperature allows for comfortable swimming in a short wetsuit, and in August, often in just shorts and a UV t-shirt.

The equipment base is right by the water, while in the school building (100 m from the sea) you will find a place to rest during breaks between classes, a shower with fresh water, changing rooms, and hammocks.

On the windward side of the beach, there's a bay where waves of 1-1.5 meters high build on the sandy shallows. These conditions are perfect for our advanced campers to learn how to jump and ride waves.

Hi-tech equipment:

At the Prasonisi Center windsurfing base, participants have access to the latest equipment from renowned brands (Fanatic, Starboard, Severne). We select boards and sails according to physical conditions, skills and wind strength.
